Where:
When I took these photos I was in my house and it was really late at night. Im usually known as being super last min. with everything. However I really like how these photos turned out in the end. The photos really capture what brings light into my hoe other than the people in it.
Somerset Photo Assignment
Light
Reflection Questions:
- Camera Obscura: A darkened box with a small hole to reflect an image on a light sensitive sheet.
- First you need to darken a small tin box and insert a sheet of light sensitive paper on the inside of the box. Then you poke a very small hole in the box pointing down to the light sensitive paper. Once the box is all finished attach the box somewhere pointed towards the subject that youd like to photograph. Leave it there for three days and then return to see if an image has shown up on the paper. If an image has shown up on it then scan the picture and save it on a device so it wont be damaged.
- The way I created a shutter and aperture was by creating a hole in the top of the box to allow light to get into the box.
- The focal length was 21.28 mm
- The camera was placed on a flag pole facing the soccer fields and the exposure time was around three days.
- The light source for the exposure was the sun.
- After I took down the camera the image was orange in color and there was a somewhat blurry image of the soccer fields on the paper. Once I took the paper out I scanned the image and emailed it to myself. I then began to edit the image on photoshop and made the image a little more blue in color instead to see the detail a little more clearly. I also made the image in black and white to add with the other versions of the photo.
- What surprised me about the results was that the image was in an orange color when I opened the box. If i could redo the process i think Id want the camera to be a little closer to a subject instead.
